Use the contact form and introduce yourself.
1. Gathering info & advance
We'll arrange a short meeting to figure out what you want the mural to look like and the details of the space (indoor vs. outdoor, dimensions, the kind of ambient light etc). We'll take some pictures, finalize the price and send a non-refundable advance.
2. Digital design (sketch)
Once the advance is paid, I'll come up with 1 - 3 sketches of the final mural for your approval
3. Digital design (final)
I make a final colored design for your approval. Then send an invoice for the rest of the payment.
4. Painting
Once the final invoice is paid, Paint Buam and I will use the projector method to project the digital image onto a mural. We provide the projector, supplies, and clean up. If this is a comercial mural, I'll also paint a QR Code in the corner that will link to a page describing the mural and mural making process. This will allow curious customers the ability to see what the wall will look like when it's finished. This is important as murals midway don't always look the best.
Generally, paint involves these 3 stages
A. Thin outline: this is an sketching phase and will look rough and clearly unfinished.
B. Color by numbers. The ladies of Paunt Baum and I will color in the thin outline. This is the longest stage and looks awkward, so having that QR Code will help.
C. Thick outlining. I got back over the piece
D. Detailing. Spot checking and fixing things.
5. Licensing (Optional)
If this mural is for commercial purposes, I can also license (i.e. rent) the image to you so you can use it on merch, business cards, drinkware, advertising, etc. The QR code will be updated to redirect to a page where they can buy items featuring the mural image.
*Note image used here is not my own mural, however it is similar to the style of mural that I will be making.
About the Artist
The only thing I enjoy more than eating Colorado food culture is drawing it.
I'm M. J. Star. I moved to Colorado in 2019 and have been drawing digitally for almost 2 decades. In early 2022, I started drawing art that depicts Colorado's rich food and drink culture. I've been traveling the state going to various breweries, wineries, cideries, bars, and restaurants. I try their food and drinks, and transform all of that into art that celebrates Colorado's blossoming local food culture.
My shop features all original art work draw on my mobile tablet.
